About Accommodation

Can I pay by credit card?

Yes, credit card payment is available. (JCB, VISA, UC, AMEX, SASON)
* Please note that for some plans or reservations made through travel agencies, payment in cash may be required.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 3:00 p.m. and check-out is at 10:00 a.m.
*Times may vary depending on the plan. Please check the plan details.

Can I leave my luggage before check-in or after check-out?

Yes, we can keep it at the front desk. Please feel free to ask. Valuables should be managed by the guests themselves.

Do you have sightseeing materials?

Sightseeing brochures and discount coupons are available at the front desk.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation fees are as follows:
Same day: 100% of room charge, 1 day prior: 80%, 2–3 days prior: 60%, 4–5 days prior: 30%.
* During busy periods or on fireworks festival days, a special cancellation policy may apply.
* For reservations of 3 or more rooms, group cancellation policies will apply depending on the number of rooms reserved. Please check the Accommodation Agreement for details.

Can I extend check-out time?

Extension is available until 12:00 noon. An additional fee of 3,300 JPY per hour (for Standard Japanese Room) will be charged. Fees vary depending on room type.

Are pets allowed?

We are sorry, pets are not allowed. We can introduce nearby pet hotels.

Is the facility barrier-free?

Unfortunately, the facility is not fully barrier-free. There are about 10 steps to the dining area "Shihomi Chaya" and to the suites.
Please confirm in advance if you have mobility concerns.

Is there a parking lot?

We will guide you to our contracted parking lot. Parking fee is 1,500 JPY per car per night.



About Suites with Open-Air Bath

Can I smoke in the room?

Yuyado Ichibanchi is a completely non-smoking property. Heated tobacco products are also prohibited. Please use the designated smoking area in the building.

How large are the rooms?

The Premium Suite is 65㎡, and the Semi-Suite is 55㎡. For details, please see the Guest Room page.

What time is check-out?

Check-out for (Semi) Suites is at 11:00 a.m.

Is the open-air bath in the room a hot spring?

Yes, it is supplied directly from the source. The water is 100% hot spring, but cooled with added water to adjust the temperature.

Can you see the ocean from the open-air bath in the room?

There are blinds and screens for privacy, so the ocean cannot be seen from the bathtub.

Can I watch BS satellite broadcasting?

Yes, BS programs are available. Broadcasting is from the Shizuoka station.

What amenities are available?

(Semi) Suites are equipped with the following amenities: bath towels, face towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, yukata, loungewear, slippers, toothbrush, ladies’ cosmetics, razors, shaving foam, hair dryer.



About Standard Rooms

Can I smoke in the guest rooms?

Yuyado Ichibanchi is a completely non-smoking property. Heated tobacco products are also prohibited. Please use the designated smoking area in the building.

Do the rooms have a bath?

Rooms with bathtubs are limited to Suites with open-air baths and Premium Western Rooms with panoramic baths. Other rooms only have shower rooms without bathtubs.

What amenities are provided?

Rooms include yukata, face towels, bath towels, and toothbrushes. Razors, combs, hair dryers, lotion, and emulsion are available in the public bath area.

Can I see the ocean from the room?

Rooms on higher floors (Deluxe Japanese Twin, Deluxe Japanese Room) have ocean views. Other rooms do not.

Is internet available in the rooms?

Yes, Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.



About Dining

Is dining in the guest room available?

Atami Onsen Yuyado Ichibanchi does not offer in-room dining. Dinner and breakfast are served at the dining areas “Shihomi Chaya” or “Hatsushima.”

Can I request a private dining room?

Yes, private dining rooms can be reserved. As availability is limited, please book in advance. A private room fee of 2,200 JPY applies (rooms for 2 or 4 persons available).

What time does dinner start?

Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m., 6:00 p.m., or 6:30 p.m. If you are delayed, please contact us.
(Note)
If you check in after 7:30 p.m., dinner cannot be served. In that case, no refund will be given.

What time is breakfast?

Breakfast is available from 7:30 a.m., 8:00 a.m., or 8:30 a.m.

Can you accommodate allergies?

Atami Onsen Yuyado Ichibanchi can remove allergens only for the following six items: eggs, milk, shrimp, crab, peanuts, and buckwheat. Please contact us at least one week before your stay.
* As the same kitchen is used, complete removal of allergens cannot be guaranteed.
* If meals cannot be provided due to allergies, bringing your own meals is allowed with prior notice.

Can I bring alcohol or food into the hotel?

No, bringing in food and alcohol is prohibited based on health center guidance.

What kind of meals are provided for children?

Children’s Kaiseki (Japanese set meal) … for upper elementary students (70% of adult rate).
Children’s Lunch … for kindergarten/younger students (8,000 JPY). Selectable on the reservation page.

What happens if I am late for dinner?

If you arrive after 7:30 p.m., dinner cannot be served. No refund will be given, so please plan your schedule accordingly.

Can I order additional dishes?

Some additional menu options are listed on the Cuisine page. Please reserve by the day before your stay.



About Baths

Are the baths available 24 hours?

Baths are open until 1:00 a.m. and from 5:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the morning.

What types of baths are available?

We have “Basho no Yu” (indoor and open-air) and “Momiji no Yu” (indoor and open-air). Gender separation alternates at 7:00 p.m. We also offer private open-air baths (reservation required, fee applies): “Kan’ichi no Yu” and “Omiya no Yu.” For details, see the Baths page.

What kind of hot spring water is it?

It is a mildly alkaline chloride spring, rich in salt. It warms the body thoroughly and helps prevent chills after bathing. See the Hot Spring Analysis page for details.

Is it safe for babies?

The mildly alkaline water is gentle on the skin. However, as the bath temperature is set at 41℃ (hot), please use the baby bath available in the public bath area.

Can I reserve a private open-air bath?

Yes, advance reservations are accepted. The fee is 3,500 JPY for 50 minutes per session. Please contact us by email or phone (TEL 0557-81-3651).



Other Information

Can you arrange cakes or flower bouquets?

Yes, we can arrange them. Messages can also be included upon request.

Can I rent a red “Chanchanko” (traditional celebratory vest)?

Yes, it is available for rent. Please request in advance.
